Counselling Support
Supporting every Bowenian with the care, guidance and encouragement they need to grow with confidence and resilience.
Counselling Support

At Bowen, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and confidential environment where students can share their concerns and receive guidance. Through counselling, students are supported in understanding their emotions, developing healthy coping strategies and making positive choices that enhance their well-being and personal growth.
School counselling is a collaborative process that empowers students to:
Develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.
Build resilience and strengthen their coping strategies.
Make positive and informed choices that contribute to their well-being and relationships.
Who May Benefit from School Counselling?
Students may benefit from counselling if they are experiencing challenges such as:
Stress and school anxiety
Academic and examination stress
Grief and loss
Friendship and relationship difficulties
Family challenges
Bullying
Online safety concerns and cyber-related issues
Students who would like to speak with a counsellor, or who are concerned about a friend, are encouraged to approach any teacher or submit a request for a counselling session.
Learning Support
Bowen provides tiered network of support for students struggling with learning difficulties and with conditions like dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or physical impairments. Our support includes specialised teachers from the Student Well-Being team who are TSN-trained, and SEN officers.
Remember, you are not alone. Support is always available, and we are here to help.
