What is the Bowen FIESTA?
The Bowen FIESTA is a vibrant series of customised programmes specially designed for Bowenians.
The word fiesta has Latin origins and refers to festivities or activities held to celebrate an occasion—an apt reflection of the energy and excitement that these programmes bring to school life!
In Bowen, FIESTA stands for

Activities
The Bowen FIESTA not only adds colour and vibrancy to school life, but also creates meaningful shared experiences that strengthen our students’ sense of belonging and help shape our distinctive Bowen culture and identity.
Each Bowen FIESTA programme is thoughtfully tailored to support students’ holistic development. Through enriching experiences beyond the classroom, students develop 21st Century Competencies, social-emotional competencies, leadership skills and an appreciation of the arts. They also cultivate important values and life skills such as teamwork, resilience and communication.
